Sgt. 1st Class Goldenstein deployed twice, once in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007 and then again in 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After her second deployment, Sgt. 1st Class Goldenstein stayed on active duty with the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where she received treatment for her hips and was first introduced to adaptive sports.
