Prior to his injuries, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Sifuentes was a Kiowa Warrior helicopter pilot and Aviation Safety Officer. He had three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, flying in excess of 1200 combat missions in direct support of ground troops to ensure safe travels and to support the team and mission. “Although my true passion is flying and providing air support for troops in need, I have found a new drive in the recovery process and push myself daily,” said Sifuentes.

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Sifuentes enjoys biking/swimming and is an active member of the Ride to Recovery/Project Hero. He has ridden over 600 miles with this organization. Sifuentes said, “I am moving forward from my injuries and focus on what I can do physically, not only for myself but for my family to see me recover. I tell my children daily that times may seem tough, but out of sheer perseverance you can get back on course.”
